Individual Therapy
In individual work with adults and older teens facing anxiety, depression, confidence issues, family conflict, and life transitions, I will help you identify the underlying feelings and unspoken needs contributing to your symptoms. By drawing from various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT and attachment-based theories, I will guide you toward a deeper understanding of your symptoms and help you achieve clarity. Each session will be approached with empathy, active listening, compassion, and humor, fostering a safe and supportive environment to help you reach your desired outcomes.
Couples Therapy
I use the Gottman Method, the only evidence-based couples therapy, to help couples build and maintain strong, healthy relationships. By developing personalized plans, I guide couples in strengthening their emotional connection, improving communication, and resolving conflicts effectively. My focus is on each couple’s unique strengths and challenges, providing the tools needed for lasting positive change and a fulfilling relationship.

EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured psychotherapy designed to alleviate distress from traumatic memories. It's effective for treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, grief, addiction, and self-esteem issues. EMDR involves focusing on traumatic memories while undergoing bilateral stimulation, often through eye movements, which reduces the vividness and emotional intensity of those memories. By addressing the root causes of trauma, EMDR helps reprocess these memories, offering a path to healing and recovery.
Together, we will gently explore your past, build upon the internal strength and resiliency you already possess, and help you feel safe and confident again.
Military Personnel, Spouses, & Families
Military culture is distinct and comes with its own set of challenges that are often unique to service members and their families. The military environment is built on principles like discipline, hierarchy, and a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. While these values foster resilience and a close-knit community, they can also create unique struggles. Service members often face frequent relocations, long deployments, and the demands of a lifestyle that can be physically and emotionally taxing. The pressure to maintain composure and meet high standards, along with the potential for exposure to traumatic experiences, can lead to stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, marital distress, and other mental health challenges. Additionally, the transition back to civilian life can be difficult, as the skills and mindset developed in the military don’t always align seamlessly with those needed in the civilian world.
Drawing on my personal and clinical experience, and with an understanding of the unique aspects of military life, I will use a solution-focused approach combined with gentle confrontation to challenge and guide you toward self-awareness.
